Jervis Rise wins at the 2017 UDIA Awards for Excellence!

We are pleased to announce that the Jervis Rise development has been awarded the 2017 UDIA (WA) Awards for Excellence in the ‘Affordable Development’ category. The 51-dwelling project is the first medium density development around the Baldivis town centre and incorporates diverse upscale and affordable apartment living into the area. The project was also a finalist ‘Medium Density’ category.

Jervis Rise is the first medium density housing development around the Baldivis town centre and has introduced diverse, upscale and affordable apartment living into an area that is typically characterised by single homes. An impressive three storey complex offering 51 new affordable homes, Jervis Rise provides a range of demographics including singles, couples, investors and downsizers/rightsizers with the kind of quality medium density housing traditionally enjoyed by residents of inner-city areas.

Comments from the UDIA Judges:

“The simple yet well planned design of this medium density development, the first around the Baldivis town centre, incorporates apartments featuring five different floor plans catering to a range of buyers between $280,000 to $379,000.”

“Long term affordability is addressed through lower ongoing costs with correct solar orientation, cross ventilation, a six star rating as well as low strata fees. The NRAS is also incorporated for investors.”

“The attention to detail is impressive with unique private courtyards, storage, screened staircases and the maximisation of the location and aspect onto Tamworth Wetlands.”

“Walkability to local amenity and public transport is also a plus for residents.”

“Congratulations to the Jervis Rise team.”

With affordability being the driving force behind all elements of Jervis Rise, the development was approved for the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS). The NRAS creates a unique opportunity to provide low to moderate-income households with rents discounted by a minimum 20% to the market until 2026. The Australian Government initiative provides financial incentives to NRAS investors in order to increase the supply of affordable rental housing.

In addition to claiming the ‘Affordable Development’ award, Jervis Rise was a finalist in the ‘Medium Density’ category.
